Grown on light clay soils on the sunny north-facing slopes of the Hanmer Basin. 2019 was an interesting year, with an annoying bit of rain right around flowering. This affected our yield, but of course with lower yield often comes increased quality. Fermented and then soaked on skins for 28 days before aging in old oak barrels for 12 months, producing concentrated wine with floral notes and flavours of red berries and plum.
